Abstract
如:Our research focused areas are in mechanobiology of human diseases and development of mechanobiologically inspired technologies in microfluidics and wearable sensors to better detect, diagnose and treat diseases. In this lecture, I will showcase how we exploit our basic research outcomes in mechanobiology to develop devices such as the microfluidic cancer biochip to capture circulating tumor cells for liquid biopsy, wearable sensors to manage foot diabetic ulcers so as to prevent foot amputation for diabetics, as well as haptic glove for enabling physical touch for applications in the health metaverse. Our research collaborators involve engineers, physicists, chemists, biologists, data scientists, clinicians as well as industrial partners to translate our research outcomes from the lab to the clinic and market.
