On the morning of May 28th, Ms. Gu Enuo, assistant professor of the School of Law, gave a report titled:Legalization Construction in the “Belt and Road” Area.
Ms. Gu first pointed out that the “Belt & Road Initiative” is supported by an increasing number of countries because it has met the requirements of different nations and their people on the basis of cultural exchange, policy coordination, financial integration and trade and investment. However, due to differences of historical tradition, language, religion and nationality, risks and challenges remain in the spheres of economics, finance and social environment in the process of “Belt & Road” legal cooperation. Consequently, Ms. Gu said that in order to cope with risks and challenges, “Belt & Road” legal cooperation should focus on establishing and improving related regulation systems, dispute settlement mechanisms and legal culture communication, etc., enabling all parties to attach importance to the actual requirements of construction of rule of law through coordination and integration of different standards to form a harmonized standard.
Finally, Ms. Gu said that the legalization construction in the context of the “Belt & Road” cannot only promote the development of democratization and legalization of international relations, but also support the orderly opening of the world economy. Therefore, we should feel confident about it.
