Speaker Bio
Guangxi Yue is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and working as a professor in Department of Thermal Engineering in Tsinghua University. He is a world well-known expert in the field of clean coal technology including fluidized bed combustion and coal gasification for his researches and practices. Among his numerous awards are the National Science & Technology Award (2006, 2017); the Guanghua Engineering Award (2007); the International circulating fluidized bed and fluidization technology Achievement Award given by the International CFB and Fluidization Community in 2011. In 2009, he was elected as the Academician of the Chinese Academic of Engineering.
Abstract
Carbon peak and carbon neutral is the big challenge for Chinese scientists and engineers. We should know some basic knowledge about the science of global warming. Present talk is the introduction about the atmospheric physics. While atmospheric physics is a science. We should always keep doubt in science research to make continues progress.
For stopping global warming, we need technology but not science. We are investing more and more to find proper technology for carbon peaking and carbon neutral.
