IHarbour Lecture Sociology Series (6): The Nonprofit Sector, Social Capital and Democracy

On the afternoon of Jun 27, 2019, Dr. Joseph Galaskiewicz delivered a lecture titled The Nonprofit Sector, Social Capital and Democracy. Based on the present literature and global values survey data, Dr. Galaskiewicz, a professor of Sociology at the University of Arizona, analyzed and expounded in detail on “Is liberal democratic governance comparatively advantageous?”
This lecture presented contrastive analysis methods of various types of data from countries across the world. At the end, an interactive discussion was held between Dr. Galaskiewicz and professors and students.
