Speaker Bio

Zhao Xi is a professor of the School of Management, Xi’an Jiaotong University, director of Shaanxi Engineering Research Center of Medical and Health Big Data, director of Big Social Data Analysis & Application Research Center of National Engineering Laboratory of Big Data Analytics, and the secretary-general of Artificial Intelligence Technology and Management Application Research Association of the Chinese Society of Management Science and Engineering. He was selected for the Shaanxi Provincial Program for Supporting Special Talent and the Zhongying Young Scholar Program.

Zhao Xi began his Ph.D. study in Computer Science at the École Centrale Lyon, France, in 2007 and worked as a research assistant professor at the University of Houston in America in 2010. He has focused on the interdisciplinary fields of big data mining, pattern recognition, big data behavior, and decision-making. He has published more than 70 articles in SCI/ EI-indexed journals, including IEEE T.PAMI, IEEE T. Cybernetics, DSS, and TM. He has presided more than 10 big data projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Ministry of Education-China Mobile Research Fund, and Shaanxi Provincial Development and Reform Commission, and research & development projects in cooperation with famous international enterprises such as ZTE, Huawei, Tencent, and China Railway Intelligent.

The research conducted by Zhao Xi and his team has received extensive attention from Chinese and American media. Notably in 2018, “Robots’ Wits Excel”, China’s first challenge program focusing on intelligent technologies broadcasted on CCTV-1 channel on weekend prime time, in which a special program based on Zhao Xi’s team’s big data behavior analysis was selected as China’s “Intelligent Pioneer”.

赵玺，西安交通大学管理学院教授，陕西省医疗健康大数据工程研究中心主任，大数据算法与分析技术国家工程实验室的社会大数据分析与应用研究中心主任，中国管理科学与工程学会人工智能技术与管理应用研究会秘书长，入选省级支人才计划、仲英青年学者。

赵玺于2007 年赴法国中央理工大学攻读计算机科学博士学位，2010年赴美休斯顿大学任研究助理教授。他在大数据挖掘、模式识别、大数据行为与决策跨学科领域发表国际顶级期刊IEEE T.PAMI，IEEE T. Cybernetics和管理领域国际著名期刊DSS，TM等SCI、EI文章70 余篇。先后主持了国家自然科学基金，教育部-中国移动科研基金项目，陕西省发改委资助的创新能力建设项目，中兴、华为、腾讯、中铁智能等国际知名企业研发课题等十余项个大数据项目。

赵玺团队的研究工作多次收到中美媒体的广泛关注，特别是2018年中央电视台一套综合频道周末黄金档播出的我国首档聚焦智能科技的科学挑战类节目“机智过人”栏目，基于赵玺团队的大数据行为分析工作做了专题节目，成果入选中国“智能先锋”。
